“Brother Talot! His… power level is…55,000…”
The fear in Salari’s heart continued to grow, reaching an intensity she had never experienced before.
Talot could clearly sense Salari’s feelings. He himself felt fear as well.
If this Namekian were to attack them, both he and Salari would die—instantly, without even the chance to fight back.
Grasping Salari’s hand, Talot forced himself to stay calm, keeping his breathing steady.
Namekians are a friendly race, at least in the period of original work, so in his understanding, there shouldn’t be any mistake about that.
Combining that with what this person had said, Talot believed that he wouldn’t attack them; otherwise, he wouldn’t have referred to them as alien guests.
Talot was surprised. Even though they hadn’t hidden their aura, being able to sense the presence of alien visitors across the entire planet should be impossible.
But from what this Namekian said, it was clear he knew they had arrived.
【Could it be that the Grand Elder of Namek sensed our arrival and sent him to greet us…? But that’s just too ridiculous. 】Talot thought to himself.
Seeing no response from them, Ragar seemed to notice the tension and caution in Talot and Salari.
Realizing that they were just two alien children and far weaker than him, Ragar stopped unleashing his power with the same intimidating aura as before.
After restraining his aura, he spoke again: “I apologize for frightening you, guests from another planet. I am a Namekian. You may call me Ragar. Welcome to Planet Namek.”
As he finished speaking, Ragar showed a friendly smile, no longer carrying the sternness that had scared them.
Talot and Salari exchanged glances before Talot asked, “How did you know we had arrived on Planet Namek?”
Hearing the question, Ragar answered without hesitation, “When you were approaching Planet Namek, our Grand Elder sensed it and knew you had arrived. He sent me to guide you over.”
Muttering to himself, ‘How absurd!’, Talot’s mind began to race.
At least, for now, he was certain there was no danger.
With this reassurance, the panic that Talot and Salari had been feeling began to dissipate.
Though they still kept a hint of caution, the truth was that such caution was meaningless.
If their strength is greater than yours, then there’s no need for them to put on a show for you.
If someone with this level of power wanted to do something, no amount of vigilance would make a difference.
Still, it was unexpected to encounter such a powerful Namekian who didn’t exist in the original work.
“Hello, Ragar. My name is Talot, and this is my companion, Salari.”
Introducing himself and Salari, Talot hoped that this sincerity would make the next conversation easier.
“We came to Planet Namek to make a wish with your Dragon Balls. We hope to receive your assistance.”
Ragar nodded without surprise.
After all, the Dragon Balls were the only thing on Planet Namek that could attract outsiders.
No one knew who had spread this information years ago, but even after all this time, some people still knew about it.
“As long as you’ve come to Planet Namek without any evil intentions, you are guests of the Namekians.
“As for using the Dragon Balls, that’s not up to me. You’ll need to meet with Grand Elder, who will make the final decision.”
As he spoke, Ragar took off once more, signaling for Talot and Salari to follow.
At Talot’s suggestion, Salari quickly transformed their spaceship into Hoi-Poi Capsule, and then the two followed Ragar toward the Grand Elder’s location.
Just as Ragar had said, only the Grand Elder has the authority to decide whether to lend the Dragon Balls to outsiders. In fact, even the Namekians themselves had not used them for many years.
…
Led by Ragar, Talot and Salari faced no obstacles all the way.
Of course, even without Ragar leading them, they probably wouldn’t have faced any conflicts with the Namekians. However, they would certainly have had to explain their origin and purpose for being there. With Ragar, all such troubles were avoided.
As they traveled, Talot gathered from Ragar’s conversations with other Namekians that Ragar was likely the most outstanding Namekian of this era. Like Nail in later years, Ragar served as a personal bodyguard for the Grand Elder.
Following Ragar, Talot and Salari arrived at the Grand Elder’s residence on Namek and finally saw the Grand Elder with their own eyes.
Looking at the Grand Elder, who was as massive as a small mountain, Salari’s mouth dropped open in surprise.
He was clearly much larger than other Namekians, which was quite surprising.
Talot, however, wasn’t surprised at all, as this was pretty much what he remembered.
The only difference from the original work was his mental state.
What truly shocked Talot was when he used his Ki Sense to probe the Grand Elder. The elder’s aura was incredibly deep.
While it was impossible to gauge the Grand Elder’s full power in his prime, based on the aura he sensed now, he was at least at a power level of tens of thousands!
If he added other possibilities and let his imagination run wild, the Grand Elder’s strength at his peak could likely reach a power level in the millions, perhaps even tens of millions.
“Hello, welcome to Planet Namek, little friends from another planet.”
Grand Elder kindly took the initiative to greet Talot and Salari
As soon as these words were spoken, Talot and Salari’s expressions changed slightly.
Being treated as “children” was certainly unpleasant, though they couldn’t deny they were indeed children.
And given their ages, even if they were a hundred years old, they’d still be children in the Grand Elder’s eyes.
His age was likely in the thousands.
“Hello, Grand Elder of Namek,” Talot replied, interrupting any potential outburst of emotions from Salari, and then continued, “Since you knew of our arrival, I assume you also know the purpose of our visit.”
“I do have a rough idea of your intentions, but my ability to foresee the future cannot provide complete clarity. So, could you please explain for me? Also, I noticed traces of wish energy on you, which suggests you’ve used the Dragon Balls before,” the Grand Elder said all at once, voicing his doubts.
That the Grand Elder could sense that Talot had made a wish, specifically one that affected his body, demonstrated the Grand Elder’s unfathomable powers.
“I did indeed use the Dragon Balls to make a wish. On Earth, I encountered a Namekian and found the Dragon Balls there.”
“At his request, I promised to help him meet his people from his homeland when I came to Planet Namek.”
As he spoke, Talot swiftly pulled out a box of Hoi-Poi Capsules from his bag and took out Capsule No. 1, which contained a virtual video communicator.
