Arriving before the jar, Talot and Gine looked inside, and the scene before them made both of them pause in surprise.
It seemed as though the jar contained another world entirely.
At this moment, Talot finally recalled the memories related to the original work.
The jars at Korin’s place were connected to various corners of the mortal world, and Salari had accidentally opened one of these pathways and got sucked into some place on Earth.
Seeing that Salari was fine, Korin let out a sigh of relief. “Phew, good thing you’re okay. I’ll pull you up now, but make sure not to run all over the place again.”
As he said this, Korin raised his staff and pointed it downwards.
But Salari didn’t seem the least bit concerned.
Firstly, she was incredibly strong, so there was no need to panic.
Secondly, she could fly, and even if she couldn’t, she could easily jump back up from that height.
Salari returned to the top of Korin Tower, and Korin quickly covered the jar with its lid to prevent any more accidents.
In the meantime, he also explained what had just happened.
Gine and Salari were filled with curiosity, wondering how such a thing was possible.
Talot, however, wasn’t surprised since he already knew about this from the original work.
Speaking of which, he realized he hadn’t immediately thought about it earlier, subconsciously overlooking it.
But now, with Salari’s little incident, Talot was reminded of the Ultra Divine Water.
Earth’s Ultra Divine Water had the ability to unlock a person’s potential.
Though the process was extremely painful, if one could endure it, their strength would skyrocket.
In the original work, after Goku drank the Ultra Divine Water, his strength increased significantly, allowing him to defeat King Piccolo.
Should he go ahead and get the Ultra Divine Water now?
Just as this thought arose, Talot immediately dismissed it.
The Ultra Divine Water’s potential-unlocking effects were certainly great, but right now his power level was only around 2,500.
Even though drinking the Ultra Divine Water would grant a substantial boost, his current foundation was still far too weak.
How much strength could be unleashed depended on how much potential one had accumulated!
As shown in the original work, the boost in strength from unlocking potential was closely tied to the individual’s own condition.
The most absurd example of unlocking potential wasn’t just in the Majin Buu Saga where Old Kai unlocked Gohan’s potential, but even earlier during the Namek Saga. After Grand Elder Guru unlocked the potential of Krillin and young Gohan, their strength skyrocketed.
They went from power level of two or three thousand to over ten thousand, and as the story progressed, they reached tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands.
In other words, for Talot, now wasn’t the right time to use the Ultra Divine Water to unlock his potential. It would be better to wait until the right moment—after undergoing gravity training and accumulating more strength—before using it.
Talot remained silent, clearly deep in thought.
Beside him, Gine and Salari stayed quiet, while Korin silently wondered what Talot was thinking about.
It wasn’t until Talot snapped out of his thoughts and exchanged a few more words with Korin that the matter was settled.
Before leaving, Talot, Gine, and Salari thanked Korin once again.
The three of them then took to the sky, heading straight for the Lookout.
After seeing the three off, Korin’s expression grew serious. He muttered something profound before letting out a sigh of relief.
As for what he said, only he knew.
…
The Lookout.
With the sound of three figures breaking through the sky, they finally landed steadily in the plaza.
At this moment, Kami and Popo had already been waiting for a while.
Originally, they didn’t expect to wait so long, but who could have known that Talot and the others would stop by Korin Tower and spend some time at the top of it?
Seeing the jar of Senzu Beans in Talot’s hands, Kami more or less figured that Korin had gifted it to them.
“You’ve returned. How was your time exploring Earth these past two days?” Kami didn’t focus too much on the Senzu Beans—there was no point in dwelling on them now. Instead, he smiled and asked about other matters.
Ever since Talot and the others had left the Lookout for the mortal world, Kami had been keeping an eye on their activities.
In fact, his question was merely for show, as he already knew what they had been doing, but he had to act the part.
“It was alright. Earth’s development is impressive, and there are a lot of interesting things… The most important part is that I saw something that reminded me of another Namekian ability—creating Dragon Balls!” Talot casually responded before bringing up the subject of Dragon Balls.
At the mention of Dragon Balls, Kami’s expression slightly changed.
The thing he feared most had finally come to pass.
The Dragon Balls could grant wishes, and that was an irresistible temptation for anyone.
When he originally created the Dragon Balls, he hadn’t given it much thought. But as he aged, Kami began to realize that the existence of the Dragon Balls was somewhat unnatural and went against the laws of the universe.
Of course, he wasn’t too worried before, as gathering all seven Dragon Balls was extremely difficult, and for the past few hundred years, they had never been fully collected.
But now, with the subject of Dragon Balls being brought up, and it being tied to Namekian’s ability, Kami felt both shocked and relieved that the Dragon Balls were scattered across the Earth.
“So, it’s not just me with this ability—it’s a power of our Namekian race? Thank you, I’ve learned something new today,” Kami said tactfully.
It sounded like gratitude, but also like an attempt to change the subject.
Talot didn’t care what Kami was saying and bluntly stated, “We need the Dragon Balls to fulfill some wishes. Since you are the creator of Earth’s Dragon Balls, could you help us gather the ones scattered across the planet?”
At these words, Kami visibly began to sweat, and both Gine and Salari fixed their gaze on him, making him feel uncomfortable.
Popo, standing to the side, looked worried, while Kami forced himself to remain calm and said, “I’m sorry, although I did create the Dragon Balls, I don’t have the ability to locate the ones scattered across Earth. If you wish to use the Dragon Balls, you will have to find them yourselves…”
Saying that, Kami added just in case, “Of course, if you need my assistance, I’ll gladly help in any way I can.”
He wouldn’t stop them, but he also couldn’t help them find the Dragon Balls.
It was clear that Kami was still on guard against them.
“As I expected,” Talot muttered. “In that case, we’ll have to rely on the power of technology.” He glanced over at Gine and Salari.
Both of them had already lost any favorable impression they might have had toward Kami—if anything, they even felt some dislike.
Kami always offered to help but never actually did anything meaningful.
It was the same when they asked him to help find Kakarot, and now it was happening again with the Dragon Balls.
This time, the conversation didn’t go well. Gine and Salari no longer held any expectations for Kami like they did before.
If it weren’t for Talot saying they should stay, they wouldn’t have wanted to linger there any longer.
