DBEPV Chapter 50 Dragon Balls! Make a wish!

“Dragon Ball? Talot, do you know what this thing is?”

Gine noticed the change in how Talot referred to the bead and asked.

At the same time, she was deliberately trying to change the subject to ease the tension between the two kids.

Apparently, not only Salari but also Bulma was no longer angry. With her big curious eyes blinking, she asked, ‘So this bead is called Dragon Ball, big brother?

Bulma spoke first, and Salari followed, asking, “Brother Talot, what is a Dragon Ball? You seem really surprised and interested.”

The effect Talot was going for was precisely to arouse their curiosity and questions.

Although he seemed to have inadvertently mentioned the word Dragon Ball, it was actually intentional on his part.

“Speaking of Dragon Balls, we can’t avoid talking about the Namekians. According to what I know, the Namekians not only possess a very high power level, but they also have the ability to create Dragon Balls.”

“If I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes, I would have thought it was complete nonsense. After all, something like the Dragon Balls, which can grant wishes, shouldn’t exist in this world!”

“Now that I’ve seen it myself, I can confirm that this is indeed a Dragon Ball, probably made by that Namekian Kami on the Lookout.”

At this point, Talot paused.

“Talot, are you saying that this little bead called Dragon Ball can grant wishes?” Gine exclaimed.

Salari, also in disbelief, glanced again at the Dragon Ball in Bulma’s hands.

This scared Bulma. She thought Salari was going to snatch it away, so she quickly clutched the Dragon Ball to her chest and muttered, “No one can take my toy.”

As the second miss of Capsule Corporation, Bulma had always gotten whatever she wanted since birth, and no one had ever been able to take anything from her.

So, this made her extremely assertive in this regard.

Salari rolled her eyes, showing a sour expression, while Talot could only chuckle helplessly.

“From what I know, there are seven Dragon Balls in total. Inside each Dragon Ball are a different number of stars, and when all seven Dragon Balls are gathered, they can summon an Eternal Dragon, which can grant any wish. The one in Bulma’s hand should be the 2-Star Dragon Ball.” As he spoke, Talot began to ponder again.

This naturally led to a discussion about the Dragon Balls. After all, he could just attribute all his knowledge to Planet Vegeta, which had already exploded.

“Is this true? Talot, where did you get all this information?” Gine asked again in astonishment.

Talot’s knowledge of Namekians and Dragon Balls… No, there’s more than that…

Since leaving Planet Vegeta, over half a year had passed, and only now did Gine realize that Talot was no longer the same as before.

Talot was still Talot, but he knew far more than she, an adult, did.

Even though she had experienced more than him and visited many planets, she knew nothing about these things.

For a moment, Gine began to see Talot in a different light.

She suddenly had a strange feeling—how much more did Talot know?

Or rather, how much was he still hiding from her?

“I only found out about the Namekians by chance. I was curious, so I looked up some information at the time.” Talot brushed off Gine’s suspicions.

Upon hearing this, Gine said nothing more, but she couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Talot knew he couldn’t avoid this, so instead of explaining further, he chose to be vague.

Speaking of which, as Talot recalled the story line from the timeline involving the Dragon Ball Minus, he remembered that the Namekians were already known to the Saiyans. In fact, Bardock had even come into contact with the Dragon Balls on Planet Cereal and wished upon the Eternal Dragon for his sons to grow up healthy.

As for whether this plot had happened in this world, Talot wasn’t sure.

Back when Talot first learned about this part of the story line, he had wondered if it was because of this wish that Kakarot and Raditz managed to grow up safely.

Until the moment Raditz came to Earth, when the wish granted by the Eternal Dragon seemed to have conflicted with some kind of unavoidable force, which ultimately led to their mutual demise.

Of course, no one really knows for sure.

“So as long as you gather all seven Dragon Balls, any wish can be granted?!” Bulma suddenly spoke, changing the atmosphere once again.

Because of her young age, despite her high IQ, she didn’t focus on the other information Talot had mentioned. Instead, she became extremely interested in the Dragon Balls themselves.

Talot was quite satisfied with her reaction, as his goal was to let her know about the wish-granting power of the Dragon Balls in advance.

Knowing Bulma’s personality, she would likely soon start trying to find the other Dragon Balls.

After all, the temptation of making a wish was just too great.

And it wasn’t just Bulma—Gine and Salari were like that too.

“If the Dragon Balls can really summon an Eternal Dragon to grant wishes, could we wish for Planet Vegeta to be restored to its original state?” Salari suddenly asked, catching both Talot and Gine by surprise.

The two of them turned to look at Salari, noticing the hint of sadness in her expression.

It was clear to both of them that, for Salari, Planet Vegeta was still her homeland, her true home.

Even though six months had passed, it was hard for her to forget those feelings.

“Even if wish can be granted, a wish as outrageous as that would be difficult to fulfill, don’t you think?” Gine thought it was unrealistic.

Talot replied, “Maybe it’s worth a try, though I also think it’s unlikely. But I do have an idea: with the Dragon Balls, perhaps even if something happened to Uncle Bardock and Raditz, we could summon the Eternal Dragon to wish for their rescue.”

That had been his plan from the start. As for whether the Earth’s Eternal Dragon could actually pull it off—that would have to be tested first.

After trying out all the possible wishes, regardless of whether they worked or not, Talot would then move on to his own plan.

Hearing Talot’s words, both Gine and Salari’s expressions changed.

Gine, in particular, suddenly became excited.

This was another new hope. She understood Talot’s point—by using the Dragon Balls to summon the Eternal Dragon, they might even be able to make a wish to revive the dead.

So, now they had less reason to worry.

“However, Earth is a big place. Finding the Dragon Balls won’t be easy. If we had some kind of device that could track their location, then…” The words, almost like a suggestion, fell into their ears. Gine and Salari understood, as it was similar to a scouter.

However, a scouter is used to detect the location and power level of life forms.

Bulma furrowed her brow, pondering for a long time. It was unclear what she had thought of, but she directly trotted upstairs with the Dragon Ball in her arms.

She must have gone to her room to study it.
