DBEPV Chapter 42 Going to Earth! Find Kakarot!

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

It’s been more than half a month since Planet Vegeta’s explosion.

If you count the time from when Talot left Planet Vegeta with Gine and Salari, it’s been exactly three months since then.

After hearing the news of the planet’s explosion, Talot spent almost every day comforting Gine and Salari, trying to help them come to terms with it.

Women are often more sentimental, especially when they haven’t heard any news from the people they care about.

If Talot hadn’t deliberately intervened, even using Bardock’s words before they left as a deterrent, Gine might have already stopped listening to him.

Talot had to crush Gine’s fantasy of wanting to go back to Planet Vegeta to take a look.

It’s not that he was being heartless, nor was he afraid.

After all, more than half a month had passed, and even if they returned to the coordinates where Planet Vegeta was, there shouldn’t be any more danger.

However, going back would be meaningless and a waste of time.

In short, Talot was instilling in Gine that they couldn’t act recklessly now—not for their own sake, but for the sake of Bardock and Raditz.

There was a possibility that everyone was safe right now, but if they showed themselves on their own, they might become targets, thereby endangering their family.

Whenever he mentioned this, Gine would calm down.

Over the years, she had been working in logistics, so she understood this situation the best.

Back then, she took on the logistics role on the planet to avoid being a burden to Bardock.

However, Gine wasn’t someone who blindly followed Talot’s decisions.

She was highly intelligent and had her own opinions.

So in the end, Talot had to explain that if six months to a year passed without any news from Bardock and Raditz, they could take action.

As for what to do then, they would figure it out when the time came.

And today, Talot’s power level finally broke through the 2,000-point mark, and he planned to begin the second phase of his interstellar journey.

He wasn’t doing it for any other reason than for his future. To become stronger, time was of the essence.

If he wanted to obtain the strength and status of the original work’s Kakarot and Vegeta, he had to stay ahead of the curve—even by several steps!

On the clearing in front of the log cabin.

While eating the grilled meat Gine had prepared, Talot suddenly brought up leaving Planet Ouyun.

There were some things he couldn’t change, but there were other things he could do now to disrupt the original agreement with Gine.

And it was something Gine couldn’t refuse.

“What? Leave Planet Ouyun and go to Earth?! Now?!”

“Brother Talot, are you joking? We haven’t even conquered Planet Ouyun yet, and now we’re abandoning this mission to go to Earth. What if something goes wrong….?”

With their surprised exclamations, Gine and Salari’s attention was fully diverted.

After Talot’s explanation, Gine was no longer emotionally agitated, and Salari gradually calmed down as well.

“Talot, are we really going to Earth to find Kakarot?”

“But what if Bardock and Raditz come to Planet Ouyun looking for us? If we’re not here, won’t we miss them?”

Gine was hesitant but still found it difficult to decide.

She really wanted to see her younger son because his power level was only 2, meaning he had no ability to protect himself.

But given the current situation, it didn’t seem like the best time to go to Earth.

They had initially agreed to wait for Bardock on Planet Ouyun and to see if Raditz would come looking for them.

After listening to Gine, Talot knew she would react this way, so he immediately launched into the speech he had prepared:

“Aunt Gine, I’ve been thinking about going to Earth for several days now. I used to think the same way as you, but in the past couple of days, I’ve realized something. Our Saiyan race must have suffered a catastrophic disaster. I believe Uncle Bardock and Raditz are still alive, but they might not come looking for us right away.

“So, instead of exposing ourselves, we should go to Earth and find Kakarot first. If we count the time, it’s only a little over six months from Planet Vegeta to Earth. If we leave now, we might not catch up to Kakarot’s spaceship, but we can reach Earth in less than six months.

“Aunt Gine, you know that Kakarot’s power level is only 2. Even though Earth is considered a lower-level planet, it still probably has many dangers. Now, with the Saiyan race almost wiped out, if something happens to Kakarot too…”

Talot trailed off, letting his words hang in the air.

Weighing the pros and cons, Gine would definitely agree.

As for Salari, she was currently in a state where she would follow Talot wherever he went.

If Talot wasn’t around, then she would follow Gine wherever she went.

“Aunt Gine, I think Talot is right. Maybe Uncle Bardock and Raditz will go to Earth first to find Kakarot,” Salari added, giving Gine another nudge.

This caused Gine to tremble slightly.

Between Bardock and Raditz, her concern for Kakarot was much greater.

After all, the power level difference was too significant.

In Gine’s eyes, Kakarot was as ordinary as an ordinary person could be.

She couldn’t understand how she and Bardock could have a child with a power level of only 2. Aside from inheriting Bardock’s appearance, it seemed like Kakarot hadn’t inherited any other advantages.

Gine stayed silent for a long time, torn between her options. Seeing this, Talot seized the moment and once again said, “Actually, the reason I want to find Kakarot is that I’m worried this crisis might be part of Frieza’s scheme. If that’s the case, Kakarot might still be hunted down, especially since his spaceship wasn’t modified, and its location can easily be tracked.

“Of course, this is just my speculation. With Kakarot’s power level of 2, he poses no threat at all. Even if Frieza wanted to wipe out the Saiyan race, he wouldn’t need to chase down a child like that.”

With these words, Talot applied the final push to sway Gine’s heart, urging her to make a decision.

“Alright, then let’s go to Earth,” Gine said, taking a deep breath and nodding resolutely.

Talot’s analysis was logical and well-reasoned. Gine knew Talot wasn’t someone to act recklessly. Despite his young age, his intelligence was likely far above her own.

There were many things she hadn’t considered, but Talot had thought them through.

From Talot’s words, Gine realized that while Bardock and Raditz’s safety couldn’t be confirmed, if she didn’t go to save her younger son, even knowing where he was, it would be her failure as a mother.

Of course, Gine had no idea that this was all just an excuse for Talot to go to Earth.

Once there, he had no intention of helping to find Kakarot.

On the contrary, he would do everything in his power to prevent Gine and Salari from interfering with Earth’s development or Kakarot’s life.

Otherwise, the protagonist of the original work wouldn’t be Goku, but rather Kakarot.
