Rokushiki teaches fundamental techniques such as Shigan, Geppo, Soru, Rankyaku, Kami-e, and Tekkai, which together enable a person to handle the vast majority of situations in combat.
However, those who master Rokushiki and use it as their primary combat style have their own derivative techniques and areas of expertise.
Who’s-Who excels in Shigan, which was one of the reasons Knight took an interest in him—both of them specialize in similar areas.
Who’s-Who is also familiar with some of Knight’s techniques. In the past, he would never have taken Knight’s attacks head-on like this, but the power granted to him by Arceus has given him the confidence to do so.
Among the various types of Pokémon, each type has a lot of room for development. Even Bug-type, considered the weakest, has a promising future. However, Steel-type and Rock-type Pokémon are undoubtedly the ones with the most noticeable improvements.
A body made of steel or rock can significantly raise a person’s baseline strength. Once someone transforms into a Steel-type Pokémon, ordinary bullets or blades don’t need to be dodged. They can rely on the hardness of their body to tank those attacks without taking damage.
Perrserker’s body is quite unique as well. The Viking helmet on his head isn’t a real helmet, but a product of his body hair hardening. As a Steel-type Pokémon, his body hair is made of a substance similar to metal.
Although Who’s-Who’s fur appears fluffy, it has a highly specialized structure. Tens of thousands of strands of steel-like hair are intertwined, providing both immense defense and the ability to absorb some impact. It’s a combination of steel’s hardness and the flexibility of hair.
This is further enhanced by Tekkai. The essence of Tekkai lies in controlling one’s blood flow to make the body extremely hard. But Tekkai(Iron Body) is just a descriptive term—the upper and lower limits of its power are uncertain. Many agents die a violent death each year because they place too much faith in Tekkai.
Tekkai’s original purpose was to enhance defense when facing unavoidable attacks, reducing the damage received. You should still dodge attacks when possible or exchange injuries for injuries to create counterattack opportunities when necessary.
But over time, its original intent seems to have changed.
The impact of Knight’s Shigan was almost entirely absorbed, and the remaining force was insignificant to Who’s-Who. And this wasn’t even his strongest state—his ability is quite special. Called Steely Spirit, it can further strengthen Steel-type attacks.
The effect of this ability can be stacked, though it’s limited by the physical strength, so there’s a cap to the power it can unleash.
When Who’s-Who joined the Beasts Pirates, he brought along his own subordinates. His original subordinates, known as CAT’S, were actually Perrserker Reserves. Arceus intended to develop them into a specialized Perrserker squad, specifically for team battles.
Who’s-Who is one of the few non-brute types in the Beasts Pirates, so there are many places where he can be useful. However, the squad is still in the building stage as his subordinates were still greatly lacking both in contributions and strength.
“Steel-Claw Spear!”
A sinister smile appeared on Who’s-Who’s face as the fur on his right-hand fingers and wrist instantly covered his fist, transforming it into a large spearhead.
This is a move Perrserker developed for survival in the wild. Some Perrserker purposely grow out their nails, using them as daggers. Now that Who’s-Who has gained this ability, and with the power of Seimei Kikan, he has an extra set of weapons.
Sensing the danger, Knight swiftly dodged back, but a blood mark still appeared on his face. It seemed he had underestimated the strange weapon in Who’s-Who’s hand.
However, thanks to his strong regenerative abilities, the wound quickly healed. In the past, Knight would have held back from using his full power to mislead his enemies, but against Who’s-Who, there was no point—Who’s-Who already knew his abilities.
“Saber-toothed tiger… no, this isn’t the kind of power a saber-toothed tiger should possess… Queen…”
“You don’t need to understand that. Just know that I’ll remember the contributions you’ve made. You should feel honored—you’re the first to experience this new power!”
“Fang Revolver!”
The fur on Who’s-Who’s body condensed into small spikes, and the fangs and sharp steel claws of his Saber-Toothed Tiger Form became even sharper. His body curled slightly into a ball, and he launched himself at the opponent with high-speed rotation.
His greatest advantage lies in the overwhelming ability he possesses. Even though both were Zoan-types, a Mythical Zoan is inherently stronger than Ancient Zoan and Normal type. The emotions he experienced when facing Sasaki were now directed at this senior.
“Finger Pistol Spots!”
Blade-like fangs continuously shot toward Knight. Though Knight used his knowledge of some of Who’s-Who’s techniques to get close to him, before he could strike, Who’s-Who suddenly roared with an ear-piercing screech.
The sharp metallic sound rang through Knight’s head like someone had hammered his brain, causing a brief moment of blankness in his mind.
This was a downside of Knight’s Devil Fruit. The Earthworm Devil Fruit made him more sensitive to sound, and this noise temporarily paralyzed his nervous system, allowing Who’s-Who to stab him in the stomach with a spear.
Thanks to the strong vitality granted by his Zoan-type powers, Knight didn’t fall. After creating some distance, he relied on his abilities to heal his wound.
As the intensity of the battle between Knight and Who’s-Who increased, Knight gradually came to a painful realization: he was no longer a match for the junior he had once outclassed.
The compatibility between Perrserker and Who’s-Who was extremely high. Sharp claws replaced the usual daggers, and the steel fur compensated for any weakness in defense, making it incredibly difficult for Knight to break free.
It was then that Knight noticed Tesoro observing the fight from a high platform out of the corner of his eye.
Knight needed a way to safely get out of this situation, and Tesoro seemed like his chance.
He didn’t dare to kill Tesoro—his status was far too special. Without orders from above, killing him would surely anger certain Celestial Dragon families, cutting off their wealth.
But kidnapping and coercing Tesoro? That wasn’t an issue. If there was a drawback to the newly modified Perrserker form, it was that Who’s-Who had become slightly less agile. He hadn’t yet fully adapted to his heavier body.
Knight sacrificed his right arm to break free from Who’s-Who’s grasp. While in mid-air, his arm had already regenerated.
But Tesoro didn’t panic at all. He merely clapped his hands, and the golden platform beneath him transformed into a giant hand, grabbing Knight and holding him suspended in the air.
“Mr. Knight, it seems you’ve forgotten something. Don’t forget, I’m also a high-ranking officer of the Beasts Pirates. Since I dared to appear before you, how could I possibly be weak?”
