Even though he was a secret agent, Who’s-Who has some rather strange quirks—like carrying a sword with a girly pink scabbard.
The strangeness didn’t stop there. When Who’s-Who drew his sword, Sasaki hesitated in his charge for a moment.
“Are you kidding me?”
Who’s-Who was over three meters tall, the standard Admiral height. His scabbard was nearly two meters long, but when he unsheathed his sword, the blade was shorter than the hilt.
They hadn’t interacted much, nor fought side by side often, so Sasaki always assumed that the long sword Who’s-Who carried was used in some secret technique. Yet, it turned out to be nothing more than a toy.
“Why don’t you give it a try? Blade Pistol!”
Rokushiki was just the basic technique. People proficient in Rokushiki have developed their own variations of it, and Who’s-Who was particularly skilled in Shigan. Whether it was the saber-toothed tiger’s fangs or the dagger in his hand, they could all be integrated with Shigan.
The seemingly tiny dagger unleashed a flying slash attack, cutting through the air in a half-arc before aiming at Sasaki’s back.
While the head was a weak point for most creatures, Bastiodon was an exception. It wasn’t that Bastiodon didn’t have a brain, but rather, its head’s defense was far too strong.
Bastiodon’s name comes from its Iron Defense, as strong as a city wall. Breaking through it wasn’t an easy task.
Hailing from a secret agent background, Who’s-Who preferred not to use brute force unless absolutely necessary. If a wall couldn’t be broken down, he would rather find a way to go around it.
The Blade Pistol didn’t have the penetration power of his Fang Pistol, but it was much more flexible. Sasaki not only shared the strengths of Jack, but also his weaknesses.
But Sasaki also had a way to deal with it. Since he lacked flexibility, he simply stopped dodging. After another exchange, Sasaki stood up again, transforming into a Steel Dragon Human, with a new weapon appearing in his hand.
Like Who’s-Who, his weapon was also unique. However, instead of a tiny dagger like Who’s-Who’s, Sasaki’s was an exquisite mechanized screw sword.
Using the mechanism on his sword, he knocked Who’s-Who’s weapon away. The fight returned to a hand-to-hand brawl, resembling the clash between Jack and Elizabeth. The two fighting styles were almost identical, with little difference between them.
In terms of entertainment value, however, they couldn’t compare to the other side’s battle. Still, there was a group of people watching their fight with great interest.
For example, the Udon Quarry.
Even those staying in Wano Country could watch the battles thanks to Rotom’s broadcast. It wasn’t just the pirates staying behind on the main island; even some prisoners in the quarry had the right to watch the program.
For those prisoners, any program was better than hard labor—it was a brief moment of relaxation.
This was also part of the Beasts Pirates’ psychological intimidation against them. By broadcasting the officers’ battles, they showed the prisoners the kind of opponents they are facing, making them realize how laughable their behavior is.
At this moment, the TV screen was showing Sasaki and Who’s-Who’s battle. As for why it wasn’t someone else’s fight, you’d have to ask Aggron, who was holding the remote.
Both Babanuki and Daifugo were outside, participating in the ranking battles, so leadership of the Udon Quarry had temporarily been handed over to Aggron. Watching Sasaki and Who’s-Who on the screen, a very human-like, satisfied expression appeared on its face.
It felt that its little brother, who had been sparring with it daily, had finally grown up, making all its years of effort worthwhile.
Screeech!
A metallic screeching sound, similar to that of scratching glass, rang out. Amidst the metallic noise, Who’s-Who’s tiger claws gleamed with a metallic sheen. With a sliding tackle, he struck Sasaki from below, targeting his weak spot. Compared to the hard outer shell, the body here was much softer.
His steel claws were more effective, but against Sasaki’s health bar, his attack didn’t do much damage. Sasaki endured the pain and pressed down, but his Body Slam only left a deep crater on the ground.
Even though he missed again, Sasaki didn’t get discouraged. Who’s-Who had expended more energy than he had. In terms of physical endurance, Sasaki had already won.
In the end, Who’s-Who failed to win, and Sasaki won the battle of attrition. However, Who’s-Who wasn’t entirely convinced.
In terms of combat technique and experience, he was far superior to Sasaki. He also landed more hits. Their Haki levels were roughly equal, but their biggest difference lay in their abilities.
If he had a Mythical Zoan ability, there was no way he would have lost to Sasaki. From that point on, Who’s-Who developed a stronger obsession with obtaining the power granted by Arceus.
Their battle of attrition came to an end, but Jack and Elizabeth’s fight was still ongoing. By now, the City Terrain had been reduced to ruins, with numerous buildings flattened under Jack’s Stomp. Elizabeth has almost no space left to move.
“This time, there’s nowhere left for you to run.”
Jack bore several wounds, but they were all superficial. Elizabeth’s attacks were ineffective against Jack’s defense. Even though she continuously used the terrain to wear him down, Jack remained in pretty good shape.
Elizabeth had been constantly shifting her position for Snipe Shot while setting numerous traps, but Jack had bulldozed his way through a maze of traps to get to this point.
Clap, clap, clap.
Jack heard clapping. It was Elizabeth, applauding him.
“Not bad, not bad at all. You dealt with all my traps. If you can handle this last one, you win.”
Before Jack’s eyes, Elizabeth suddenly dissolved into a puddle of water. After years of fighting alongside Olga, Elizabeth had gained a deeper understanding of disguise and deception. This was a Substitute she had created at great cost to her stamina, with the sole purpose of distracting Jack.
Meanwhile, her real body had already moved to the other side of the arena, undergoing a massive transformation.
Her tail had grown thick and coiled upwards, forming a platform for her Snipe Shot. Water compressed in her hands, forming the shape of a liquid sniper rifle.
Inteleon-Gigantamax form.
In this state, both the range and power of her Snipe Shot were greatly enhanced. Water droplets gathered at the muzzle, and soon after, she took aim at Jack in the distance.
“G-Max Hydrosnipe.”
Before the words left her mouth, the bullet had already been fired. The water shot through the air with a deafening sonic boom, finally hitting Jack’s body.
The compressed water exploded on impact, and the resulting enormous wave engulfed Jack. This was Elizabeth’s most powerful attack. From the moment she realized Jack’s defense was nearly impenetrable, every one of her actions had been building up to this final shot.
If this didn’t break through Jack’s defense, she’d accept her defeat wholeheartedly.
