Scizor’s major weakness in battle is its heat dissipation. Due to its poor heat dissipation ability, Scizor is not suited for long battles, and its body has always evolved to favor quick battles.
After the New World Central Fighting Tournament, both Isuka and Delia achieved what they wanted. Isuka gained her own power of Mega and gradually mastered it.
After undergoing Mega Evolution, a black cross-shaped star appeared on her forehead. Her body became more angular, and her large pincers grew even more menacing.
However, if you look closely, you can see her hands, wrapped in an exoskeleton, through the joints of the pincers. This is the biggest difference between her Human-Beast form and the Beast Form.
Pokémon Ability Users inherit some traits of their Pokémon, and certain weaknesses are unavoidable. However, these weaknesses are not insurmountable. Babanuki overcame the stiffness of his body through a unique weapon-switching technique using form transformation.
In this area, Isuka excelled even further. She exploited Scizor’s trait of rapid rise in body temperature, developing her own “overload mode.”
As her body temperature rises, the flow of blood in her body speeds up, allowing her to unleash greater strength and speed in a short period of time. Even Luffy would call her an expert. Her opponent, however, was special—not one of the old Numbers, but rather Who’s-Who.
He was known as a genius, on par with Rob Lucci within CP9. This wasn’t mere flattery, but recognition of his strength and talent. Based on his performance in the original timeline, he was ranked first among the Tobiroppo, under the Three Calamities.
He was special because he was the only one among them who wasn’t a Blessed One. He had risen to his position purely through his Saber-Toothed Tiger fruit and a few moves bestowed by Arceus.
The reason he lacked an ability was simple: since joining, he hadn’t made any great contributions. He was just an ordinary defector, and his accumulated contributions aren’t even a match for some of the old people. Currently, he has only reached the standard of a Gifter.
But as he looked at Isuka before him, his expression was far from relaxed. Now 31 years old, he had undergone Cipher Pol training from a young age and had been fighting on the frontlines ever since.
But this little girl in front of him was only 18. Though she worked hard, he had 13 more years of experience than her. But even with those 13 years, he still couldn’t completely crush this youngster.
If they were the same age, he might not even be a match for Isuka. The root cause of this gap lay in the difference in abilities granted by Arceus.
The complete ability of Scizor, combined with Mega Evolution, was far stronger than a few moves alone.
“Give up. Your body is nearing its limit. Even if you could get treatment, there’s no point in suffering through this, right?”
13 years of life experience hadn’t been wasted. In Who’s-Who’s eyes, Isuka had already reached her limit, while he was still in much better condition. The outcome of this battle was clear.
“It’s not over yet.”
While saying that, Isuka made a peculiar move—she stopped the flapping of the insect wings on her back, which meant she had shut down her heat dissipation system.
Without slowing down, she swung her large pincers and appeared right in front of Who’s-Who, but his body bent like paper, dodging Isuka’s attack with a strange folding motion.
Rokushiki – Kami-e. As a former CP9 member, Who’s-Who was proficient in Rokushiki. Kami-e didn’t rely on Observation Haki to predict an opponent’s movements but instead sensed the airflow, allowing the body to dodge by muscle reflex.
These techniques had been passed down through the World Government and Marines for a reason. However, Who’s-Who soon realized that Isuka’s movements were gradually getting faster, and her body was starting to emit waves of heat.
Her two pincers were enveloped in a white glow, and under the boost of Fury Cutter, Isuka’s relentless strikes smashed down on Who’s-Who. Those massive pincers were not just good at grabbing—they were also good at smashing.
“Lunatic…”
He didn’t really understand. It was just an internal ranking match—why go to such extremes? Even if there were differences in the top ten ranks’ treatment, they were limited. With her current abilities, there was no need to push herself so hard.
Although he didn’t understand Isuka’s actions, his movements didn’t stop. A low growl came from his throat, followed by a harsh metallic screech from Who’s-Who’s mouth.
Metal Sound, a Steel-type move, uses the screeching sound to disturb the opponent, lowering their special defense. Under the influence of the sound waves, Isuka’s movements briefly faltered, and Who’s-Who took the opportunity to increase the distance between them.
“Fang Pistol!”
An advanced version of Shigan (Finger Pistol), seasoned CP agents could fire Flying Finger Pistol from a distance as a special attack. But Who’s-Who used his fangs instead.
A sharp, fang-like blade flew toward Isuka. Who’s-Who’s attack had incredible penetration power, and even though Scizor had a metallic exoskeleton, it wasn’t designed for defense. Taking multiple hits like that would be too much.
The flying blade pierced through the deck under Isuka’s feet. The main difference between this terrain and Ocean Terrain was the footing. While the Ocean Terrain uses rocks, this one is designed to mimic the deck of a ship.
With the deck damaged, Who’s-Who sent out two Rankyakus and then assumed a crouching stance.
“Tekkai • Fang Flash!”
By using Tekkai to harden his teeth and his fangs as blades, he turned his entire body into a weapon for a special attack. Its destructive power was impressive, but it requires some time to charge. After all, the side effect of Tekkai was that it restricted movement.
Except for a few individuals, most people couldn’t move while using Tekkai. Who’s-Who’s attack method was simply a clever workaround.
Clang!
But the outcome wasn’t what Who’s-Who expected. Isuka’s two pincers forcibly caught his fangs, bringing them into a contest of raw strength.
Brute force wasn’t Isuka’s specialty, and she hadn’t used such a method in previous battles. He didn’t understand what she was planning until he saw the light gathering in her pincers. But by the time he realized, it was too late.
Boom!
She fired a Hyper Beam point-blank. The explosion engulfed them both. Isuka had already reached her limit—this was her final strike. After the explosion, her body involuntarily reverted to her normal form, exhausted and unconscious.
“Cough, cough…”
Through the smoke, Who’s-Who stood up again. He had won, but he wasn’t particularly happy about it. He knew well that he had only won because he was older. If he had been 18, there’s no way he could’ve beaten 18-year-old Isuka.
In the medical station, both Who’s-Who and Isuka were being treated. Who’s-Who had already regained consciousness long ago.
“Why do you push yourself so hard at such a young age?”
“For a higher position. For more power. To gain the means to carry out my own ‘justice.'”
“Hah, nice joke. I never thought I’d hear the word ‘justice’ from a pirate.”
Who’s-Who was stunned by Isuka’s reply. Before he defected, he had occasionally believed in that word.
All Cipher Pol members underwent brainwashing, and the phrase their instructor repeated the most was that they were the protectors of the dark, representing the world’s Dark Justice.
But after his mission failure, imprisonment, and witnessing a prison guard mysteriously disappear after uttering a certain word, he no longer believed in justice.
“Pirates aren’t justice, but Lord Arceus can be. I want a higher position so I can gain more power from Lord Arceus. Once he has found all his power, the world will be cleansed.
In that new world… no one will ever be burned by flames again.”
As she spoke, Who’s-Who noticed a scar on Isuka’s hand, seemingly from a burn caused by flames.
