APJ Chapter 671 Attacking teammate

“Boss Mandrell, is it really necessary for us to do this? Wouldn’t just having two Sea Kings nearby be enough?”

While the siblings went to scout the situation, one of Mandrell’s men, who didn’t fully understand the plan, voiced his doubts.

“Sea Kings? Do you think there’s any place with more Sea Kings than near Fishman Island? That’s ten thousand meters deep in the sea; just relying on Sea Kings won’t scare those guys. Besides, Sea Kings don’t take orders from anyone. Do you want the Fish-Men to be wiped out?”

Sea Kings not only attack pirate ships they dislike, but Fish-Men and Merfolk are also their targets. Except for Poseidon and Manaphy, there is currently no technology to control Sea Kings.

Who knows how long it will take for Shirahoshi to awaken as Poseidon. As for Manaphy, tying him to the island for something like this isn’t a good option. Moreover, he can only persuade Sea Kings to show him some respect.

If he’s not around one day, there’s no guarantee Sea Kings will respect other Fish-Men or Merfolk. Moreover, the benefits that Merfolk can bring are too great; even a depth of ten thousand meters can’t stop them. Solving these problems isn’t something that can be done in a day or two.

“Alright, don’t dwell on decisions from above. Take the Trapinches back to the cabin; if they fall into the sea, it’ll be troublesome.”

Trapinches can’t swim, and his instincts told him a battle might break out soon, so it was better to be safe than sorry.

While preparing his men for battle, he also kept an eye on Ulti and Page One. Although they were young, their ability to fly was their greatest advantage, and can theoretically keep them out of danger.

But before he could react, Page One suddenly crashed. Just as he was about to take action, his Rotom flew out, initiating a forced call mode.

This was also a capability of the full version Rotom Phone. People with higher-authority could forcibly connect to lower-authority ones, and the Rotom residing in the phone would analyze the situation and environment to decide whether to report immediately.

Seeing his Rotom fly out, Mandrell frowned.

“Hey, who is it? I’m busy. Speak quickly.”

“It’s me, Mandrell. Have you lost your mind? Sending people to blow up my ship?”

“Sister Olga? I didn’t! I’m almost at Fishman Island now…Page One?! Wait, that ship is yours?!”

On the screen, Olga adjusted the angle to reveal Page One and Ulti behind her, which made it clear to Mandrell what was going on.

There was no chance of an error with Rotom, and in his view, the unknown pirate ship gradually turned illusory, eventually revealing itself as the Shadow Fox ship.

“Now do you understand what’s going on?”

“Uh…Sister Olga, wait a moment. I’ll come over right away. Stand down! They’re allies!”

His instincts were correct; there was indeed a problem with the ship, but not in the way he thought. Instead, it was another bizarre issue.

Olga’s daily activities involved hunting those detestable slave traders near the Sabaody Archipelago. At first, she hid her identity in this area, often disguising herself as different pirate crews to hunt these slave traders.

Every time the Sabaody Archipelago auction started, the slave traders became active, and that was her hunting time.

Even though these traders had complex backgrounds on the sea, Olga never worried about it.

Even if some re-captured slaves leaked her information, no one could find her because she always used a different face, gender, age, and physique when she acted. Everything about her was a mystery.

Besides her entourage on the ship, even the other members of Beasts Pirates didn’t know what identity Olga was using.

She recognized Mandrell’s ship but did not remove her disguise. There were “fish” she had baited nearby, and she did not want to reveal her identity. Logically, Mandrell wouldn’t randomly attack other ships.

Earlier, Mandrell had found the Shadow Fox’s course strange because of a brief pause when the Navigator inquired Olga if they should approach.

The two ships weren’t far apart and quickly came alongside each other, creating an awkward scene.

“Sister Olga.”

“They said you sent them.”

“That’s true. I brought them out to gain some experience, but I only told them to scout the situation…Can one of you give me an explanation?”

Mandrell looked at the siblings, wanting to know what had happened.

“Brother Mandrell, this was actually an accident…”

Page One began explaining what happened a few minutes earlier when he and Ulti approached the ship.

Olga’s illusion covered a large area, but she had been a bit lazy at the time, thinking there were no targets nearby, so she reduced the number of NPCs. To outsiders, the ship looked like a ghost ship with no one on deck.

Normally, they would just need to report back, and everything would become clear, but Ulti chose a rather violent approach.

Since there seemed to be an issue, she decided to fire a Dragon Breath at the deck.

Illusions used for disguise are different from those that deceive the mind. At that time, Olga was using the most basic illusion, which would reveal its true nature if attacked. However, she’s not so bad that she can’t even react to an attack from two children.

After deflecting Ulti’s Dragon Breath, she captured the two of them and then contacted Mandrell, leading to the current situation.

In conclusion, Ulti succeeded in attacking disguised allies on her first mission, achieving a groundbreaking feat.

“Sister Olga, there wasn’t any major damage, was there?”

“No, there wasn’t. But this reckless behavior won’t do. Let me borrow her for a while and give her a little punishment.”

It wasn’t a big deal, considering they were still kids, but she wanted them to understand that being too reckless has consequences.

Olga held the highest authority here, and since Ulti’s recklessness caused the issue, Mandrell didn’t oppose it and allowed Olga to take Ulti away.

Olga then treated her like a doll, dressing her up in a cute outfit.

“Hmm, not bad. Quite cute. Be a good bait this time, and we’ll forget about this incident.”

No matter how realistic a false illusion is, it couldn’t compare to a real bait. Ulti, when dressed up nicely, was very pretty. A little girl of her age was simply a human trafficker’s favorite. Afterward, she and Page One were put on a small boat disguised as a lifeboat and set adrift.

She intended to use the siblings as bait.
