Manaphy was actually present at the wedding site as well, and was even representing Arceus. There was no need for him to intervene against the ordinary Fish-Men since Mandrell, Tiger, and the well-organized Poseidon army were there, and Neptune himself also had considerable strength.
On Fishman Island, he was known as the “Great Knight of the Sea.” Even relying on his physique alone, he was much stronger than these ordinary Fish-Men.
If it weren’t for the sheer number of them, causing Mandrell to be irritated, he wouldn’t have needed to intervene in this rebellion.
However, the disturbance in the ocean caught Manaphy’s attention. Each Mythical Pokémon was created for a unique purpose.
Zeraora was created because of Minks, Darkrai was created to search for the underworld, Genesects were created as a group of war machines, and Diancie was created for the economy of Beast Fruits and to be a new playmate for Yamato.
When Manaphy was created, Arceus intended for him to pacify the Sea Kings.
Over the years, he did just that, making the Sea Kings or sea beasts near deep-sea mining sites leave without harming the working Fish-Men.
Although Manaphy is not like the Poseidon here, who can directly command Sea Kings after her power awakens, he has an aura of friendliness.
All marine creatures were inherently friendly and protective towards him, and they almost always followed his suggestions.
Manaphy did not live as a king but as a friend among marine creatures.
Or rather, he was the group pet of the marine creatures.
While he couldn’t directly command the Sea Kings, his influence is broader; both Sea Kings and sea beasts are quite friendly towards him.
Sea beasts and Sea Kings were two different groups, distinguished not just by size but by species.
Marine monsters of the “mammalian” category, such as sea lions and sea leopards, belonged to sea beasts. The remaining marine monsters, whether amphibians or birds, fell under the Sea King category.
Over the years, Manaphy had also discovered the characteristics of Sea Kings. These Sea Kings and sea beasts had high intelligence, and the bigger they were, the smarter they tended to be, though most people couldn’t understand them.
While the Merfolk and a small portion of the Fish-Men could communicate with fish, it was limited to ordinary fish.
Fish-Men, because they ate fish, lacked the ability to communicate with them. Or rather, since they couldn’t understand fish, they included them in their diet.
Fish-Men capable of communicating with fish were extremely rare and were invariably kind-hearted.
As for the Sea Kings, only the awakened Poseidon could communicate with them.
Manaphy, being a unique creature that could communicate with them but wasn’t Poseidon, also drew some attention from the Sea Kings. However, this was nothing special in their long lives.

“Do you want to scare your queen? Besides, the situation on the island has already calmed down! Approaching now will only cause a new wave of panic!”
Manaphy didn’t know who the awakened Poseidon was yet, but when he arrived, the rebellion below had already been suppressed.
These colossal Sea Kings have fully developed thinking abilities and could be reasoned with. Since they were concerned about Poseidon, Manaphy decided to use Poseidon to persuade them.
Their sheer size was already a disaster for Fishman Island. Given their size, there was a possibility they could break the island’s bubble membrane. Although Fish-Men and Merfolk wouldn’t drown, the influx of seawater would destroy many things.
For the humans staying on Fishman Island, this was even more of a catastrophe.
“He makes sense. Queen hasn’t fully awakened yet. We shouldn’t disturb her…”%$&*@#” Check on the queen’s condition.”
A larger Sea King appeared behind them, its head resembling that of a giant turtle. Manaphy even saw seaweed growing on it, indicating that it had probably been lying dormant at the ocean floor for decades.
It uttered a strange name that even Manaphy didn’t understand. Afterward, the Sea King with a falcon head swam up to a spot with a broader view.
Sea Kings not only possess enormous size but also have other biological traits. Raptor-like Sea Kings generally have superior vision.
“Queen is fine. The little one is telling the truth.”
“We’ll stay nearby for a while. Once the queen stops crying, we will naturally leave.”
The few Sea Kings retreated into the surrounding dark waters. With Poseidon safe, they decided to give this group pet some respect. In the Sea King community, Manaphy holds much more reputation than Shanks.
“Don’t worry, don’t worry. If anyone harms your ‘queen,’ I’ll teach them a lesson. But who exactly is your queen?”
It wasn’t just Shirahoshi who was frightened to tears. The residents of Fishman Island hadn’t experienced such chaos in many years.

“The queen’s name… is Shirahoshi?”
As Manaphy rode the sea current back to Fishman Island, the Sea Kings in the darkness etched the name Shirahoshi into their memories.

With the Sea Kings temporarily retreating, Manaphy encountered a new situation upon returning to Fishman Island.
He didn’t always stay in the deep sea. After persuading the nearby Sea Kings to leave, he would return to Fishman Island to enjoy life. Although he didn’t have the “group pet” buff among the Merfolk and Fish-Men, his cute appearance earned him some older sister and mom fans. In Manaphy’s view, he had merely had a friendly chat with those big guys, but the ordinary Merfolk didn’t know what had transpired. Most people were unaware of the legend that the Mermaid Princess was Poseidon, with only a few in the know.
To the residents of Fishman Island, the sudden appearance of the colossal Sea Kings around Fishman Island was baffling. They had heard stories from family members working in the mining company about Manaphy’s legend, and now they saw it with their own eyes.
Manaphy successfully defused a major crisis, which was the understanding they gained.
Thus, Manaphy instantly became a “hero” in the eyes of Fishman Island’s residents. Before he even realized what was happening, he was being tossed into the air amid cheers.
However, not everyone was so relaxed. Otohime and Neptune’s eyes were filled with worry, and in the shadows, there was an excited gaze, as if they had discovered something important.
