APJ Chapter 608 Misunderstanding between “Unicorn” and Tiger

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

“Sir Tiger, can you drive the cart?”

Pointing at the reins on the cart, Misu tentatively asked Tiger. When Queen traveled, a subordinate usually drove the cart, but Misu had only borrowed the cart, and once they sent it back here, Queen’s subordinate left.

This was a private conversation between a nun and a believer, and it was best if no one else was involved.

This cart was built according to Queen’s size, so it was even a bit large for Tiger, and it would be quite difficult for Misu to operate it.

“No problem, I have some experience from traveling before. It should be similar to a horse-drawn carriage.”

The traveling was genuine; although he was enslaved by the Celestial Dragons, he had free time before that. As an explorer, he actually had many skills.

“That’s good, let’s go then.”

“Aren’t you coming up, Sister?”

“No, I have my own companion. Look, it’s here.”

Given Tiger’s physique, he needed a means of transportation to travel around Wano Country, and Misu was no exception. As the only professional nun currently, her means of transportation was also very special.

“Is that… a unicorn?”

In Tiger’s eyes, a pale yellow unicorn walked out of the monastery. Overall, it looked like an ordinary horse, but from its head to its tail, it had a flaming mane, and a conspicuous horn on its head.

Unlike regional fairy tales like Liar Noland, legends of unicorns exist throughout the Four Seas and the Grand Line. Even on Fishman Island, they have heard of these land creatures.

On some islands, you can still see horses with a single horn, as the magical sea fosters all kinds of odd species, but the flaming mane on this horse’s back made it a true fantasy creature.

“Rapidash, a creature created by the Lord’s power. It usually lives in the monastery, and the children love it.”

Misu gently stroked Rapidash’s mane, and it knelt down in front of her. After she sat sideways on its back, it stood up again.

“Is this fire fake?”

The mane on the Rapidash’s back was pressed down by Misu, looking completely different from intangible flames. Out of curiosity, Tiger touched it, and a burning sensation passed through his palm.

The flames didn’t surprise him, but the heat in his hand confirmed one thing: it was real fire.

However, Misu, who was much weaker than him, was sitting on Rapidash’s back as if nothing was wrong.

“Don’t be like that, Sir Tiger is also a believer of the Lord; he didn’t say it intentionally.”

“Neigh…”

The flames on the Rapidash’s back were not pure fire but flaming hair. For those it recognized, it was just ordinary mane, not harmful, and it could even serve as a cushion when sat on.

But for those it didn’t recognize, the mane was real fire, capable of causing burns with just a touch. The word “fake” spoken by Tiger had displeased it, so it taught Tiger a small lesson.

“Alright, Sir Tiger, you can touch it now. It won’t burn you this time.”

Following Misu’s suggestion, Tiger touched it again. This time, there was no burning sensation, only the warmth of the mane.

“What a magical creature…”

Rapidash’s traits made him marvel at the wonders of the world. In the past, he might have been puzzled by this, but his interaction with Misu had deepened his admiration for that immense power. As long as it was related to the Lord, no matter what appeared, he could accept it.

Then, the horse and cart set off on their journey. Starting from Hakumai, Misu led Tiger on a tour around Wano Country in a counterclockwise way.

Squirtles of the firefighting squad were undergoing daily training, Chanseys were giving injections to patients, Audino were checking people’s health condition, and Comfey were healing people with a floral wreath.

Carkol were walking through the snowfields of Ringo transporting coal, Jumpluff were floating in the sky, and Whimsicott were hiding in the sleeves, playfully teasing people.

Ampharos were leading Mareeps across the grassland, with passing herders’ hair changing into weird shapes due to static electricity, and curious newcomers were getting electrocuted by Mareep’s wool, being sent to rest amid everyone’s laughter.

Tauros’ herds were running across the grassland, and Miltank were leisurely basking under the sunlight.

In the sky, a large Altaria, carrying people, landed on the ground. After everyone safely disembarked, it flapped its cloud-like wings and flew back into the sky.

Strange-looking bees were collecting honey, while nearby, Wano Country’s residents were cleaning up weeds under the fruit trees.

From Hakumai to Ringo, passing through Kibi, they finally reached Kuri. Along the way, Tiger saw many supernatural powers and encountered some strange scenes.

For example, several children were gathered around a small water park made of bamboo, where some strange mangosteens were playing. After a while, the mangosteens were taken away by a strange-looking girl, and the water left was divided among the people.

The mangosteens were, of course, Bounsweet, and the peculiar girl was the evolved Tsareena. This harmonious coexistence of Pokémon and humans was the country that Otohime dreams of.

“How wonderful…”

“This is the Lord’s country, and it’s our goal to spread the Lord’s glory to every corner of the sea.”

“If only everywhere were like this. I haven’t seen any discrimination against other races along the way, no one is poor and dejected, and even pets have their own clothes.”

“Not everything is so perfect. Next, we’re going to see… wait, pets?”

“Yes, isn’t that kitten and puppy quite cute?”

Misu thought she heard some strange words. She looked around but didn’t see any so-called pets until other figures came into her view.

“Sir Tiger, those aren’t pets… your words are quite offensive.”

“I, a trash from the bottom of the sea, shouldn’t be on land. I should bury myself in the mud at the bottom of the sea…”

It was clear she spoke too late. At this moment, Tiger looked dejectedly at the ground, his face full of frustration; he had already squatted down and started digging a hole.

Two Hollows floated behind him, making faces at Tiger.

“Seriously, who are you calling pets, big guy? Show some respect to others’ siblings!”

In her soul form, Perona floated in front of Tiger, pointing a finger at him. The “cat and dog” Tiger mistook for pets were actually Setsuna and Zeraora’s children, whom Perona was playing with.
