After evolving, Altaria will gain Dragon-type, although its appearance has no resemblance to any Dragon. However, that’s not why they are called “traitors.”
After Mega evolution, Altaria gains the Fairy-type. As a sworn enemy of Dragon-type, it becomes quite an outlier in the Dragon-type family, eventually earning the title of “traitor.”
Azumarill gained the title of Dragon Slayer only after the Fairy type was discovered and it slayed countless dragons, indicating how much Dragon-type Pokémon despise this type.
With the sound of gears turning, the walls of Arceus’s room opened and Altaria of various sizes flew towards Sky Island one after another. The largest Altaria will act like a factory shuttle bus, regularly taking farmers home to visit their families, while smaller Altaria were reserved for special personal use.
As for Swablu, their presence was merely to enrich Altaria’s species and help some insomniac groups; they were also skilled singers.
The Swablu Yamato caught initially seemed happy, but after a short while, it struggled to escape Yamato’s grasp as if it had seen something terrifying, flying straight out the sea.
The newly appeared Swablu didn’t have the strength to break free from Yamato. Yamato released it because she noticed it was uncomfortable, although it was her first experience of a Pokémon showing “disgust” towards her.
“Dad, does it hate me that much?”
“It doesn’t hate you; it just has mysophobia.”
Swablu is very particular about its hygiene, especially not being able to tolerate dirt on its cloud-like wings. Yamato’s hands were covered in dirt, something it hadn’t noticed at first, and after finding it out, it became distressed.
“It’s not that dirty. Larvitar never minds.”
She looked at herself; recently, she hadn’t done much except catch beetles for two days in the mountains and then sparred with Kaido.
As she grew older and stronger, Kaido changed his training approach. While maintaining a few hours of physical training every day, Kaido didn’t constantly train her but scheduled fights every few days.
Sometimes it was him, sometimes it was the officers under him. Yamato now needed to seek breakthroughs in battles for better training effect.
Among her Pokémon, each had a different approach. Chansey would urge her to take bath, Miltank would prepare cow’s milk, Diancie usually didn’t interfere much but also didn’t get too close when Yamato was covered in dirt.
After training, only Larvitar seemed to like her. For Larvitar, there’s no significant difference between a handful of soil and powdered sugar; it wouldn’t reject its master’s feeding.
“Isn’t this still dirty? Yamato, come with me and clean up properly.”
Maria arrived here carrying a stack of documents. These are reports on the internal affairs of the Flower Capital. Since she was coming back, she brought them back with her, and she happened to overhear Yamato’s words.
As Yamato’s two earliest companions, they were quite familiar with each other, and their relationship was relatively close. However, lately, Yamato has been feeling awkward around her because Maria was too tall.
She is slightly older than Yamato and Jack, and now her height has reached eight meters. Jack and Maria get along without any awkwardness, but for Yamato, it was a bit different.
Initially, while there was a height difference, it wasn’t too significant. Now, both Jack and Maria have become little giants, while she, remaining within the normal range for humans, has become the outlier.
“Lord Arceus, I’ll bring Yamato to the bath house.”
“Go ahead.”
“Yes.”
Putting down the documents in her hand, Maria forcefully pulled Yamato out of the room. Or rather, it wasn’t pulling, it was carrying. While Maria might not be able to defeat Yamato, her larger size gave her a clear advantage in their daily interactions.
…
A few days later, Queen completed the toy after working day and night, and Yamato received her own combat suit, albeit it was quite different from Germa’s combat suit.
Although Queen has done some research on Lineage Factor’s abilities, he’s not an expert in this area.
Compared to the combat suits made by Judge, this suit retains the ability to fly but it hasn’t been incorporated with other Lineage Factor abilities.
This is the result of his rushed work overnight; although he preserved Germa’s combat suits unique defense, he made cuts in other areas.
However, Yamato wasn’t concerned about these details; Queen made the right bet. She’s only interested in those flying boots; other Lineage Factor abilities were irrelevant to her.
“Miss Yamato, can we let that matter go now?”
“Sure, but Uncle Queen, what’s this thing?”
Yamato pointed to a belt-like object around her waist. The pure white combat suit’s waist area was noticeably bulkier than Germa’s combat suit.
“This is the energy core of the combat suit. The stored contents inside is what enables this combat suit to function as a shield. With this, even if stamina is low, it can still be activated. Although it can’t defend against strong attacks, it can easily fend off ordinary attacks.”
“So, anyone can wear this suit without issues?”
“In theory, yes. However, if someone else wears it, the suit will become ordinary clothes once the energy is depleted. The energy core is one-time use, so it will need to be replaced when that happens.”
“Hmm… It feels less impressive than Germa’s suit. Uncle Queen, can’t this suit transform like in the comic?”
“That… I haven’t fully researched that technology yet. But Miss Yamato, aren’t you satisfied with this?”
“It’s usable, but it can’t transform with a whoosh like that. Uncle Queen, I believe you can make something better in the future, right? You wouldn’t be worse than Vinsmoke Judge, would you?”
A clear attempt at provocation, but even if he was killed, Queen wouldn’t admit to being inferior to Judge. So, he grudgingly agreed to her request and glanced at Sky Island above, realizing he might need to return to the library for further study.
However, Yamato didn’t specify when she wanted it. Since previous leverage had been mostly used up, Queen decided to take a break for a while before dealing with other matters.
The people of Wano Country were increasingly becoming more accepting of new things. The sky farmers quickly got used to Altaria’s presence, which can also fly freely in the waters near Wano Country.
Since they were modified from Island Clouds, they can even rest on the clouds for a while when they are tired.
One day, a Swablu was flying around Wano Country as usual.
Seeing a pirate ship with Beasts Pirates’ flag, it landed on it without hesitation. The peculiar blue-and-white cloud dumpling caught the attention of the people on board, such as Jack, who had just returned.
