APJ Chapter 572 Traitor of Dragon-type

“Uncle Queen, are you there?!”

Outside Queen’s laboratory, Yamato’s knocking echoed. Despite her high authority in Wano Country, there were still places like Queen’s lab where she couldn’t enter.

These areas held many secrets, and most of the time they were kept quite tidy.

However, during their research on certain projects, Queen and Acier’s lab could become quite messy. But despite the mess, they could find what they needed. Cleaning up hastily would only make it harder for them to find what they needed.

So, they had a high degree of autonomy in the lab.

After a short while, the electronic door of the lab opened, and Queen tossed a pair of boots to Yamato.

“What’s this?”

“It’s the boots part of the combat suit you asked for. Try them on to see if they fit.”

Most of the functions of the Germa combat suit were somewhat useless to Yamato, but in Queen’s eyes, it was the flying boots that sparked Yamato’s interest. So, he had worked overtime to create this part.

Unlike what Judge made, these boots incorporated elements from the Skypiea’s Dials, along with his energy propulsion device. They have almost the same effect as what Judge made, although the difficulty to operate them is high.

For an ordinary person, using these boots would likely end in disaster, as they wouldn’t be able to control their power. Most people who could control it had their own means of flying, making it quite impractical and useful only to a few.

However, he created it for use as a toy by Yamato, so Queen never considered mass production.

“I’ve integrated Skypiea’s Breath Dial and other things in it. If you just want to fly, storing wind power is enough, but for other functions, another method is needed. I’ll improve it further when I have the time, I don’t think it’s perfect yet.”

Translated, it meant that it wasn’t finished yet, and Yamato would have to wait a few more days. However, at the moment, Yamato wasn’t particularly interested in the combat suit.

“I didn’t come for that, Uncle Queen. Do you have anything to capture beetles? I want to catch the largest one.”

“…Miss Yamato, do you think I’m a storehouse?”

Listening to Yamato’s request, Queen wasn’t sure what to say. Although he handled logistics, he shouldn’t be the one everyone goes to for everything.

“Do you have it or not?”

“I do, I’ll get it for you.”

Saying that, Queen closed the lab’s door. He naturally didn’t have one readily available; if Yamato needed insecticide, he could have provided hundreds of types instantly. However, he knew that the Wano Country children were participating in a competition which required catching living beetles, so it would require further processing.

He has many poisons at his disposal, and not all of which have a pungent smell. Some of them can even lure other creatures, thus making it easier for him to make them more effective.

His banana plantation also had similar pest control medicines. He was currently separating the attractant part from them, which should theoretically be capable of luring out beetles.

Using bait wasn’t against the rules; others also used various methods to lure beetles. However, compared to Queen’s trapping agent, their methods were much less effective. With the organizer’s daughter cheating in the competition, it was nearly impossible for ordinary people to beat her.

But in the end, Yamato only took the title and didn’t touch the reward money, which balanced things for other participants. Between an empty title and hefty gold coins, they preferred the latter.

The chosen beetles were handed over to Arceus, and then Heracrosses emerged one by one. Furthermore, they were divided into several teams and boarded onto Beasts Pirates’ ships; they will be sent to different sea areas.

Heracross could fly on its own, so this was just to send them to different islands to expand their search area. At the same time, a large number of Island Clouds were cut into pieces and brought to Onigashima.

Ordinary clouds are just condensed water vapor, but Island Clouds were different, they are a special substance. The piles of Island Clouds in the Onigashima’s rooms had even blocked some passageways.

“Dad, why did you bring down so many clouds?”

Climbing over a large cloud hill, Yamato looked around at the piles of Island Clouds and revealed a puzzled look.

“Millennial Dragons have been too busy lately, so I thought I’d give them a little help.”

Millennial Dragons not only live for a long time but also have a very long incubation period. The current population was almost the same as it was years ago, but the Beasts Pirates’ Sky Island’s territory had been increasing.

Originally, Ohara scholars didn’t have permission to come down, but now they not only can freely enter Wano Country, but some people from Wano Country can also visit the experiment farm on Sky Island to cultivate crops.

Over the years, another area had been added above the Sky Island, serving as Sky Island’s shellfish breeding ground. These diverse shellfish could be regarded as a strategic resource; although some rare Dials were challenging to cultivate, common shellfish were already being artificially bred.

The nearest Sky Island is also two kilometers away from the ground, making it impossible for ordinary farmers to climb. Although the people who cultivate crops there don’t leave every day and mostly reside there, relying solely on Millennial Dragons for transportation was no longer sufficient.

These Island Clouds were the new target of modification.

“Chirp chirp?”

Suddenly, a blue dumpling emerged from the cloud next to Arceus and landed on Yamato’s head like a hat.

“What is this… a bird?”

Taking the thing off her head, Yamato’s gaze fell on the small blue bird with cloud-like wings.

“They’re Swablu, adorable little creatures.” Swablu, with Island Clouds as base and modified using the Normal-type plate, was the first bird-like Pokémon to appear in Wano Country, but that’s not all. This little dumpling couldn’t carry people in and out of Sky Island.

Soon, the large Island Clouds also underwent changes. Wings grew from a few meters to over ten meters, and birds resembling Swablu but with fluffier wings and longer tails appeared.

They were the evolution of Swablu, Altaria. If Swablu had cloud-like wings, Altaria embodied the essence of clouds.

They were the new aerial force, with their large backs meeting the transportation needs of the Beasts Pirates’ Sky Islands.

“Dad, do these small dumplings evolve into these big birds?”

“Yes, but if you like, you can also call them ‘dragons.'”

Unlike Swablu, these large Altaria were not modified using Normal-type Plate but with Draco Plate. Moreover, they were the famous “traitors” within the Dragon-Type family.
