APJ Chapter 555 Jealousy Leads to Separation

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Due to the firmly established personas of Tesoro and Stella, news of their lovey-dovey behavior no longer piques anyone’s interest. Instead of continuing to write about their lovey-dovey moments, it’s better to spread some scandal about them with other people.

These are all local newspapers from West Blue; Morgans wouldn’t bother to publish such trivial matters. Not only are they not sensational enough, but they might also upset members of the Beasts Pirates.

If this matter could shock the world when it was made public, then he would dare to give it a try. But he would not publish anything that was not relevant. However, these local newspapers in West Blue don’t care about such things.

“Mr. Tesoro, it looks like you’re getting some bad press in the newspaper.”

Baccarat looked at the content of the newspaper and read out a portion to Tesoro. The content was vividly written, and someone unaware might think it’s true.

“These people sure can spin tales.”

Tesoro didn’t get angry; he understood this circle quite well. As long as it wasn’t something too outrageous, a bit of rumors didn’t matter much. Even if Stella saw it, he wasn’t afraid.

He had mentioned his purpose for this trip to Stella, and since they were both innocent, he had nothing to be worried about.

However, things were not as harmonious in Cindry’s household.

“Cindry, is this the life you want?”

In a mansion, Cindry’s father looked at the newspaper and asked his daughter. He was quite open-minded; otherwise, he wouldn’t have agreed to let Cindry do such things in the first place.

“I just enjoy the feeling of being on stage… Father, I feel this is an opportunity. Mr. Tesoro is a world-famous figure, and don’t you also like that movie?”

“That’s true, but Cindry, Red Line is a much bigger place than West Blue. Here, you can be willful, and I can protect you from any harm, but there you’ll have to fend for yourself.”

“So Father, do you agree then?”

“You’re already 24 now. What’s there to refuse? But Cindry, regarding the family business… I’m not asking anything of you now, but when the opportunity arises, I want you to also look after our family business.”

That was her father’s only request. Cindry was focused on Tesoro’s status in the entertainment world, while her father valued his business status. Though their family was nobility in West Blue, it wasn’t enough on a global scale.

If Tesoro was willing to help, their family business would undoubtedly thrive in West Blue.

“Alright, I’ll do my best when that time comes.”

She had a pleasant conversation with her father, but at this moment, her fiancé arrived, holding the morning’s tabloid newspaper. While Cindry’s father understood her, her fiancé did not.

Since their engagement, he had been trying to persuade Cindry to retire, but it had little effect. They even had several heated arguments about it. The recent rumors only added to his unhappiness.

So he came early in the morning to question Cindry.

“Mr. Tesoro and Miss Stella have already been married for a while now, and yesterday was just an accident. I hurt my foot, and Mr. Tesoro only helped me walk a bit.”

Facing her fiancé’s questioning, Cindry replied with a clear conscience. However, her fiancé’s jealousy seemed to have ignited, as he couldn’t let go of the issue concerning the photo.

“Young man, isn’t it a bit too much to be doing this right outside the Victoria family’s residence?”

As they argued, Cindry’s father appeared.

“Uncle, we are engaged, and it is beneath the dignity of the daughter of nobility to perform a dance for the enjoyment of the poor.”

“The engagement was decided between me and your father. Cindry didn’t object initially, but if you continue with this attitude, then I’ll have to reconsider the engagement.”

He noticed an increasingly strong desire for control and possession in this person, which made him increasingly dissatisfied with this prospective son-in-law, and they ultimately parted ways on unfriendly terms.

Cindry still refused to give up the stage, choosing to sign the contract with Beasts Fruits. Soon after, the engagement between the two of them was canceled.

“Your engagement is canceled?”

“Yes… But it was an engagement that our family decided, so I’m not too bothered. It’s just a bit of a shame.”

She was referring to her original reputation, which was almost ruined by the engagement, and in the end, both sides parted ways on bad terms.

“Speaking as your future boss and colleague, I feel it’s actually a good thing that your engagement has been canceled. However, let me make it clear that while we don’t prohibit employees from getting into a relationship, if any issue arises, you must inform me in advance. We’ll need to work out the specifics.”

“As for now, if you don’t mind, we’ll use this scandal to spread your name a bit, and then arrange for your debut in the Red Line.”

Since the scandal has already spread, he might as well make use of it. The number of contracted artists under Beasts Fruits were scarce; they were either underage or with firmly established personas. Seizing the opportunity to spread scandal could be advantageous.

“As long as it’s not excessive, it’s fine. Actually, Mr. Tesoro, can you include some advertising? My family has some business in West Blue, and the quality has always been good.”

“Business? What does your family do?”

Tesoro hadn’t paid much attention to this matter. He was here to recruit an artist, not to investigate backgrounds. Besides, he doesn’t care about businesses that hadn’t even expanded beyond West Blue.

“We sell undergarments.”

“Have your father prepare relevant information. If there is no problem, we can consider it.”

He valued product quality. If Cindry’s family could consistently provide high-quality products, he didn’t mind giving them a market; it could be considered a benefit for internal personnel.

Later, Tesoro stayed to finalize some details. No conflict broke out between Cindry and her fiancé’s family. Both were local nobles, so things ended amicably. But not everyone shared this sentiment.

On another island in West Blue, in a private clinic, the person inside was going crazy looking at the newspaper.

“Damn it! Why, why did you do this, Cindry!”

The newspapers reported the rumor about Cindry and Tesoro, along with news of her signing and about the unexpected turn of events regarding her engagement. This time, it wasn’t just local West Blue newspapers; instead, Tesoro arranged for the news to be published by the branch of the World Economy News Paper.

Aside from daily major events, the World Economy News Paper also published local news from different regions. People in West Blue didn’t care about East Blue’s trivial matters. If they didn’t do this, every issue would have to be printed like a magazine.

The enraged man was named Hogback, Cindry’s fanatical fan, and a renowned doctor in West Blue.

Previously, Cindry had accidentally ruptured her Achilles tendon, and it was Hogback who had treated her. Cindry had casually helped him sew a button that had fallen off his clothes, accompanied by a polite smile. But, it was this smile that led him to misunderstand some things…
