In Yamato’s eyes, the difference between trial and sightseeing wasn’t significant. Even the most perilous trials didn’t pose as much danger as her biological father. As time passed, Kaido’s training intensity increased gradually, and it could be said that Kaido’s special training for her was often teetering on the edge of death.
Although she wouldn’t die, it made her directly experience the feeling of being on the verge of death. It was the killing intent Kaido developed after fighting on the battlefield, fighting on Rocks’ ship, and witnessing and participating in numerous clashes with monsters and elite Marines.
This killing intent was entirely different from Conqueror’s Haki. The first time Yamato was locked onto by Kaido’s killing intent, a sense of fear welled up within her.
Arceus would intervene if Kaido went beyond what she could handle, but knowing there was no life-threatening danger didn’t mean she didn’t feel fear. However, this kind of training also had slight benefits. In a sense, she appeared extremely fearless.
“Where should we go? I’ve already been to West Blue, and Dad says New World and Paradise are too dangerous. Maria, Robin, any suggestions?”
Looking at the atlas in front of her, Yamato scratched her head. She still hadn’t decided where to go.
The danger was relative to what he said. This time, unlike before, if there was no life-threatening crisis, Arceus didn’t intend to intervene. In fact, simply having an officer accompany her would be enough.
Jack has already been entrusted to Mandrell without any worries, and Mandrell wasn’t even a calamity-level officer. But there was a significant difference between an adopted daughter and a reserve officer. Not wanting to take action did not mean he was not going.
However, if she chose to sail to an island in the New World which is their territory, it would be meaningless. The probability of a crisis occurring in the Beasts Pirates’ heartland is infinitely close to zero, but if she went to someone else’s territory, Yamato is currently unable to handle the dangers there.
Although she had far surpassed her peers in strength, there was still a long way to go before true growth.
The most ideal area to go would be the Four Seas, where she might encounter trouble, but the danger level would be much more fitting for her.
Initially, she chose to focus on the Four Seas.
“I’m fine with anything; choose what you like.”
Maria showed no opinion on the matter, engrossed in massaging Alcremie. To her, going to any place was all the same.
“I’m also fine. If possible, places related to ancient ruins would be best.”
In fact, Robin did have a destination in mind, but based on her understanding of Yamato, she wouldn’t be interested in those countries. After all, those places are primarily focused on activities like archaeology and academic research.
Although Ohara in West Blue was a holy land for archaeology, there were archaeological sites all over the world. They might not compare in some aspects to Ohara, but they had their unique aspects.
However, this was Yamato’s trial, and she was just tagging along.
“Ah, it’s so confusing. I can’t decide which place is good to go from just looking at the map.”
Looking at the names of each island, Yamato tried to pick one that seemed more appealing, but no matter how she looked, they all seemed quite similar.
“I remember that the documents in the new Tree of Knowledge have some introductions about the world’s culture. How about going there to take a look?”
In the massive vines that had grown out, the surviving scholars of Ohara established a new library. The reason they continued to use the old name was simply a form of nostalgia.
As Robin mentioned, Ohara, which housed data and documents from around the world, also had a certain level of research on world geography. This was also part of its history.
“Good idea! Let’s go!”
Yamato is a person of action, so she immediately grabbed them and found a resting Millennial Dragon before arriving at the small Sky Island.
Robin was very familiar with the books and documents. She said a word to the people inside and came to the third floor. Arms grew out of the bookshelves, and soon several atlas were taken down.
“This should be it. If you’re not interested in West Blue, records of most of the islands in East Blue, South Blue and North Blue are in here.”
The atlas documented everything comprehensively, but Yamato overlooked one issue—these are documents of a historical museum, not Morgan’s newspaper. Moreover, since arriving here, these documents hadn’t received any updates.
So, the latest records in these atlas were from a few years ago. Time doesn’t stand still, and with the passage of time, each island undergoes significant changes.
For instance, in some records, Kuraigana Island is still referred to as the Gloom Island, but now it’s gradually fading due to the war and the number of baboons on the island seems to be increasing day by day.
“Kingdom from Fairytail, Flevance. The land and trees within its borders are as pure and white as the snow kingdom in fairy tales. It is a country that is like a fairyland on earth. Good, I’ve decided, let’s go there.”
Looking at the photos in the atlas, Yamato decided on the first destination of this journey—the Flevance Kingdom, also known as the White City.
“Flevance? She has already decided?”
“Yes, any issues?”
Upon hearing Yamato’s chosen destination, Kaido, in a rare occurrence, asked a question.
“Based on some information Omanyte eavesdropped earlier. According to the route you’ve set from here to Flevance, if nothing unexpected happens, what you’ll see won’t be a fairyland but hell.”
Kaido handed a piece of intelligence to Arceus. It was the World Government’s evacuation plan for the Flevance royal family. Unless under special circumstances, the royal family wouldn’t choose to leave their own country. This kind of thing indicated that a disaster was imminent.
“Let her experience the true reality of the human world. You’ve sheltered her too much. In my opinion, she should have witnessed what hell looks like a few years ago.”
As it turns out, Kaido still thought Yamato’s training was a bit light.
“She’ll rebel if you push her too hard. You can’t force children too hard. It’s already good enough now.”
“Up to you. By the way, since it’s Flevance, bring back another batch of Amber Lead. Lately, that stuff has become more and more expensive on the black market. It might be even more difficult to get it in the future.”
Amber Lead was an important mineral of Flevance, a special lead ore in the island’s crust. Amber Lead is not only used for producing tableware, paint, sweeteners, and cosmetics but also serves as a vital raw material in some weapons.
Lead bullets made from Amber Lead could be considered high-quality ammunition.
Even in Wano Country, there’s no substitute for Amber Lead. Originally, Kaido casually planned to send an officer, but since Yamato has decided on Flevance, it would be convenient to take care of it on the way.
“I understand. I’ll go and deal with the matter of those Kuja people first.”
The three-year time was almost up. Since they initially said three years, it was natural to send them back now. This matter also concerned the latter part of the lives of most members of the Beasts Pirates.
