Looking at the grown up Zeraora, Arceus felt a sense of contentment. Yamato was his adopted daughter, and even though he raised her as his own, the fact that she was an adopted daughter hadn’t changed.
He had created many Pokémon, but compared to those easily created with little effort, Diancie and Zeraora, with their language ability and greater strength, felt more like his biological children. So, he feels like his son has grown up.
Zeraora’s application for leave wasn’t just for one person; it was for two. He intended to go on a sea trip together with Setsuna, and traveling in the Beasts Pirates was a highly encouraged pastime. For Arceus, their trip was equivalent to working overtime.
In any case, everyone who arrives at the other islands will not forget this.
“Do you need a ship arranged?”
“No need, my lord. Ferren and I have discussed it, and this time, he’ll take us. He’s curious about the other sea areas as well.”
Ferren was relatively young among the Millennial Dragons, and he had a strong curiosity about the vast sea. However, due to the Millennial Dragon’s habits, they wouldn’t easily venture too far from their home unless the day came for them to do so.
So, Zeraora successfully negotiated with Ferren. They will take him on the sea trip, and all he had to do was temporarily act as their mode of transportation.
For regular trips, he didn’t need to request leave, but this time, they would be away for a while. It was already November, and they were likely to spend New Year outside.
Zeraora first went to the basement to get Electivire to give him a quick charge, made sure he had his wallet and radar with him, and that was all the preparation he needed for the trip.
When he returned to his residence in Kuri, Setsuna had already packed a large bag.
“Isn’t that a bit too much stuff? We can buy anything we need on the go.”
“It’s different. These are all essential things. Let’s go, Ferren has been impatient since last night.”
They haven’t decided where to go exactly; they’ve only chosen West Blue as their initial travel destination. However, their first stop is not in West Blue but Zou Island.
Zou Island’s location wasn’t fixed due to Zunesha’s moving around, but this time, it happened to be relatively close. So, Ferren didn’t take long to bring Setsuna and Zeraora to Zou Island.
Because Setsuna and Zeraora occasionally brought back new things, Zou Island had undergone significant changes. The most noticeable change was the presence of suspended chicken coops.
Minks didn’t eat furry mammals, so most of their meat came from fish and sea beasts, depending on Zunesha’s mood. As for birds, Zunesha’s height made them even more rare, so Setsuna brought back a batch of baby chickens.
This greatly improved the quality of food on Zou Island. In almost two years, those baby chickens have grown up. Although they didn’t eat chicken very often, eggs had become a common item on Zou Island.
The main food source for the baby chicken was insects, and they are all free-range chickens that grow in their natural environment. However, this also gave the children of Zou Island a new job: collecting chicken eggs from the forest before Zunesha’s blessing rain arrived.
These chickens had learned to return to their coops on time to avoid the impact of the blessing rain. This is the adaptability of living beings, and those chickens that couldn’t adapt to the environment of Zou Island had long been eliminated.
Ferren folded his wings and landed on Zunesha’s back, then transformed into a burly man over eight meters tall. Having eaten Caveman Devil Fruit, his human form was a bit smaller than his true form, but he was still a giant compared to Hitsugisukan, who was much shorter.
“Ferren, do you need to rest?”
Flying to Zou Island had taken several days, and although Ferren had been tricked into providing free labor, they still needed to take care of his well-being.
“No problem, a few days are nothing.”
When the Millennial Dragons fly back to their homeland, they might not even rest for a month straight; their endurance is truly outstanding among all the flying creatures.
“We’ll continue our journey in a moment; you wait here.”
After settling Ferren, Zeraora easily found Setsuna’s house, only to see Setsuna with a helpless expression and Wanda clinging to her leg.
Ever since Setsuna accidentally let slip about their trip, Wanda, who had never left Zou Island, had been wanting to join Setsuna and Zeraora on their journey.
The changes on Zou Island weren’t just the addition of the baby chickens; she also brought back a device resembling a satellite dish.
It was a unique device for receiving Den Den Mushi signals, through which they can also receive Red Line or some countries’ television programs on Zou Island.
However, what programs they could watch depended entirely on Zunesha’s current location. After all, many countries were still primitive, where even starting a fire is a challenge, let alone having television.
Having occasionally glimpsed the outside world, Wanda developed a strong curiosity about it. She had already been wanting to go out, and now, upon hearing Setsuna’s words, she couldn’t control herself anymore.
In the end, Setsuna couldn’t refuse her. She was worried that Wanda might sneak out and meet with misfortune, just like Setsuna had in the past. After discussing it with Zeraora, they decided to take her along as a chance of encountering a savior is a matter of chance.
With Wanda along with them, the nature of this trip had changed. In order to free up their hands, Zeraora decided to invite Hachi and Rin to join as well.
The originally planned honeymoon trip had turned into a family vacation for all.
In just a few hours, the team had grown from two to five people, leaving Ferren blinking in confusion.
“Sorry, Ferren, we suddenly have a few more people. Can you handle it?”
If it wasn’t possible, Zeraora was ready to fly with Setsuna. Flying wasn’t a problem for him.
“It’s okay, but we can’t add any more people. It won’t work if there are more.”
The issue wasn’t the weight; these few people’s weight was insignificant to the Millennial Dragon. The main problem was the amount of space. If the number of people kept increasing, even the flapping of his wings could be affected.
“Don’t worry, there won’t be anyone else. I promise.”
Setsuna didn’t have any grandparents, and while the Minks were relatively close, it was clear that this was a family trip, and joining them would be rude.
After a brief stop on Zou Island, Ferren spread his wings and flew south.
It was at this moment that Wanda realized the stark difference between reality and her imagination. While Zeraora had applied for a three-month vacation, at least two months of it would be spent on traveling, even with the advantage of flying.
At first, Wanda had some interest in flying, but as time passed, all she saw were clouds and the vast ocean, which made her feel quite bored.
“Mom, when will we arrive?”
Rin didn’t know how many times Wanda had asked this question, and she was getting a little impatient. However, after passing through the clouds in front of them, a vast expanse of land appeared before them.
The second stop, West Blue-Kano Country.
