“Rotoom, you have only three hours. Please leave the royal city as soon as possible. Rotoom, everyone, please hurry.”
The loudspeaker-shaped Rotom broadcasted this message everywhere. It was a command from Arceus, giving them three hours to evacuate. According to estimates, three hours should be enough for these people to leave the royal city. As for those who chose not to leave, it was no longer his concern.
The sunlight that dispersed the thick fog and the pillar of light that demolished the city walls were both the work of Arceus. His release of “Sunny Day” has the power to completely alter the weather.
With his current strength, Arceus can interfere with the climate in Wano Country with his own power. Whether it be natural disasters or fair weather depends entirely on his mood.
After Sunny Day came Solar Beam. Plumes of white smoke rose from the chasm, the traces left by the intense heat of Solar Beam. Although the surrounding land seemed unchanged, it had already become like a flame mountain.
This was what Arceus did after he arrived here. He refrained from indiscriminate attacks, but that was his last bottom line. According to Mandrell’s intelligence, he had targeted the royal family and the royal guards. As for others, even soldiers, as long as they laid down their weapons, he would ignore them.
The kingdom’s army still had some semblance of order under the command and jurisdiction of their respective commanders, but the common people were different, especially those who had seen with their own eyes how the city walls were destroyed.
Tears welled up in their eyes, caused by the intense light from Solar Beam, but they couldn’t afford to dwell on it now. The previous war hadn’t allowed them to escape, as the battle between the rebels and the royal army had remained within their acceptable range.
However, what was happening now exceeded their comprehension. Faced with something they couldn’t understand, escaping was the first thing that came to their minds.
The beam of light that could destroy the city walls could also destroy the city itself, and they didn’t think their bodies were any more resilient than the walls.
“Get up! Don’t sleep! Hurry, let’s go!”
“What… what’s happening?! Have the rebels breached in?!”
“It’s not the rebels. Anyway, let’s leave quickly; we can’t stay here any longer!”
The news was spreading throughout the city. More and more people began to gather their valuables and flee. Although those outside the city were the so-called rebels, they didn’t fear them. Many even had relatives among the rebels.
They were just ordinary civilians forced into rebellion, and their opposition was solely against the royal family.
Most of the army was still under control, but the guards on duty were different. Even commanding officers didn’t stop them, as they themselves had fled long ago.The inhuman nature of the attack left them with no inclination to resist.
Meanwhile, the people inside the royal city also heard the sound of Rotom loudspeakers. King Sekai V, however, didn’t believe in the so-called divine punishment and even fired his gun at the Rotom in the sky.
“Shut up! What nonsense are you monsters yelling? I am the only king of the Shikkearu Kingdom! Here, I am the god!”
The bullets left a dent on the Rotom’s body, but they didn’t care. To them, this body was just clothing; even if it was crushed, it didn’t matter.
“Ignorant fools, Rotoom, ignorant fools who covet master’s treasures, Rotoom.”
Rotom in the sky didn’t get angry; instead, they increasingly began mocking King Sekai V.
However, at this moment, another development completely shattered the relatively stable situation. Arceus had only released attack towards the clouds and had given them time to evacuate. But Kaido had no such intentions.
A massive azure dragon appeared in the sky, and it unleashed a Blast Breath toward the royal city. The scorching flames divided the royal city in two, and the capital of the Shikkearu Kingdom, which had existed for centuries, was engulfed in flames.
“Hey, Kaido, it hasn’t been three hours yet!”
“I know, but wasn’t it the civilians that you gave time to? These folks in the royal city clearly don’t count. I can’t hold back anymore.”
“Hey, you’re the so-called Fifth, right? The one who laid a hand on my subordinates?”
Kaido’s massive form descended slightly, and just the breath from his mouth made King Sekai V collapse to the ground.
“Tch, I thought you were someone significant, but turns out you’re just a coward, huh? What happened to your earlier courage?”
Daring to lay a hand on Mandrell, Kaido thought this man would at least have some courage, and be unafraid of death. But he didn’t expect him to get frightened like this just from a few words.
“Why are you all standing around? Anyone not from the royal family and royal guards can leave. But let me remind you, if anyone from the royal guards or royal family managed to sneak out with you, then everyone on this island will die!”
Kaido’s voice, amplified by Rotom’s loudspeakers, almost spread across the entire island. His destructive actions not only accelerated the pace of escape but also sparked some internal conflicts.
For example, some of the royal guards also wanted to sneak away quietly, but when others recognized them, they were immediately pushed back. They didn’t think the monster in the sky was joking, and no one wanted to be implicated because of them.
Watching the chaos in the royal city, Kaido did nothing. He was waiting for the end of the three-hour period as Arceus had promised this evacuation window.
Kaido’s attack made King Sekai V face reality. He attempted to explain, but Kaido paid no attention to his bribery or flattery. But when he tried to escape, Kaido’s attacks inevitably blocked his retreat.
Kaido could have killed him outright, but Kaido refused to do that. Meanwhile, the countdown in the sky by Rotom continued, which felt like a death sentence to him.
Facing an imminent death was more terrifying than sudden death.
“Sir, Sir, you have a way, right? You had an agreement with my father.”
The swordsman beside him was the last person he could rely on. However, the swordsman remained silent. Kaido’s identity had already been recognized by someone earlier; his pictures frequently appear in newspapers. A monster with a ten-digit bounty was not someone he could contend with.
As Rotom’s countdown approached the end, most people had evacuated, and then Arceus made his appearance.
“It seems you have no idea of the crime you’ve committed. So let me tell you, it’s greed.”
He sensed the familiar aura within the palace, and under his guidance, another plate returned to its rightful place.
“Laying your hands on what is mine is your crime. Shikkearu Kingdom will be erased from history because of your actions. From now on, you will only be a passage in history.”
As time ran out, Arceus’s Judgment had fully formed. The beam of judgment, with him at the center, swept across the entire city, and in a matter of moments, the city turned to dust in the annals of history.
Whether they were royal guards or King Sekai V, all living beings left within the city were completely erased. Nothing remained to prove they had ever existed.
