In the sky, many Millennial Dragons were flying around the Sky Island. They have lived on this small Sky Island for hundreds of years.
For special reasons, they had decided to move, and now they have a new home. However, seeing this Sky Island brought back, they choose to revisit their old home.
“I’ve brought back the Sky Island you wanted, but where do you plan to place it?”
“I’ll just connect it with vines near Onigashima, and the Sky Island shouldn’t fly around randomly.”
“In that case, you’ll have to reinforce it properly. Before, it might not have been necessary, but it is different now. In order to bring it back, I had to blow up a portion of the Island Clouds and drag it out from the Sea Clouds. Its mass should be considerably lighter now.”
Though it can still float in the sky, the Sky Island was significantly smaller than before. Kaido controlled it to lower its altitude, and finally, it floated at about two kilometers above the ground.
Two enormous vines shot up from the ground, extending out from the outer cliffs of Wano Country, piercing through the Island Clouds in the sky and anchoring it near Wano Country.
The scholars from Ohara were also brought to the Sky Island by the Millennial Dragons. They will live together with the Millennial Dragons for a long time in the future. This is the only flying troop in the Beasts Pirates that can reliably transport supplies to the Sky Island.
“So, you made the trip for these people?”
“They are top scholars in various historical fields. Without them, you can only rely on that guy Kozuki Oden to translate those ancient scripts.”
“That’s true, but this Giant…”
“He has a whole Giant’s Kingdom behind him. He has a good relationship with that mother and daughter among the scholars, and he knows quite a bit. So, he will also stay on Sky Island. If you can establish contact with the Giant’s Kingdom behind him, maybe you can create a formidable army.”
“Giant Warriors are indeed impressive. Linlin will be so envious when she finds out. Worororo.”
Charlotte Linlin’s collection hobby and the Giants’ grudge against her was a vicious cycle. Currently, there’s no possibility of breaking this cycle. The object of affection of a certain Giant’s prince, who has a poor sense of aesthetics, is still just a child.
The scholars didn’t raise too many objections towards this semi-house arrest. Legally, they are all dead now, so they have no choice.
Moreover, the area of this Sky Island is almost half the size of Ohara. Most of them are reclusive, spending their days researching the documents in the library. Under the premise that the Beasts Pirates will search the ruins for them, they accept this translating work.
However, led by Clover, the scholars raised a condition: they can stay on Sky Island, but Robin cannot. At the very least, they want Robin to have the freedom to leave Sky Island like an ordinary person.
Although she’s a child, even if she leaves the Sky Island, she can only appear in Wano Country and Onigashima. Still, they hope Robin will have more interactions with ordinary people while growing up.
Saul and Olvia share the same sentiment, and this request was granted. Robin can leave Sky Island with the Millennial Dragons in the morning and be brought back at night.
During normal days, whether she chooses to study history with the scholars or do something else is entirely up to her. If she wants, she can also train with the Beasts Pirates’ members. After all, Yamato treats her as a friend, and Kaido doesn’t think a little girl could have much influence.
The appearance of the scholars didn’t cause much commotion. Most people were unaware of the addition of these scholars, but Saul the Giant attracted more curiosity.
In the Hakumai region of Wano Country, two new buildings were constructed. One is the already completed Beasts Pirates Pokémon Center, a five-story building that is considered tall in Wano Country, and nearby was the area for the families of medical staff.
And the other is the nursing school that is recruiting local people from Wano Country for training to fill the vacancies in the hospital staff.
During this period, the doctors and nurses who came from the outside islands have become familiar with the Pokémon; they provide much more assistance in the medical field than ordinary people.
Currently, the atmosphere inside the Pokémon Center was incredibly relaxed. Two nurses were playing a card game with Audino, and a doctor was studying how to give Chansey a massage.
The medical personnel are now fully staffed and medical facilities were well equipped. Apart from patients, one could say that everything else is available.
“This is really a good place. The salary is much higher than before, and yet we hardly have anything to do.”
Inside the consultation room, two doctors were chatting about their daily lives and the changes they’ve experienced after coming here.
Apart from a different living environment, there were almost no other changes. Information exchange is not as smooth as before, and to read newspapers, they have to wait for the Beasts Pirates to bring some during noon.
Regular televisions here cannot receive signals, and only the Rotom television in the hospital’s center can receive signals from the outside world. If anyone wants to watch television, they have to do it together with all the hospital staff.
“What can we even do? Previously, there was a person who came here for treatment while I was organizing a skeleton model, and he was scared away.”
“He must have been frightened. People here are very… um.”
“Do you mean ignorant?”
“It doesn’t feel quite right to say that, but the development here is really backward and somewhat abnormal. Even though factories have been built, the people’s understanding lags far behind.”
“I heard that Beasts Pirates built them after arriving here. Well, it’s also not bad. After all those years of hard work, it’s not bad to enjoy some leisure time.”
They all chose to move here under the enticement of high salaries. Even without patients, the hospital continues to function as usual. Besides the occasional injured members of Beasts Pirates who come here, most of the time, they are just idling around.
In a way, this is what many working people dream of.
“I advise you not to say anything like that. We have an old saying. I don’t know if you’ve heard it before.”
“What?”
“In the hospital, never say you have nothing to do, or you’ll end up being swamped with work later on.”
“I’ve never heard that saying. Which island is that from?”
Before the conversation finished, the indicator light in their office lit up, accompanied by an alarm, which means there’s a patient who needs their attention.
Their department is for emergencies, so this kind of alarm is never a good sign.
“See, what did I say?”
“You’re right, I shouldn’t have said that. Never mind, let’s go save lives!”
The two hurriedly run out of their office towards the emergency room. It’s the first time the hospital has encountered such a situation since its establishment.
In the hospital lobby, an old man dressed like a farmer has just been carried onto a stretcher by Chansey. Despite their relatively small stature, their strength far surpasses that of an average human.
The adjustable stretcher was very stable in their hands as the unconscious man was quickly pushed into the emergency room.
